Baltimore Clayworks features our students from the past year with the exhibition Clay from the Classroom. This exhibition runs from May 31st through June 21st, 2008 with an opening reception on Saturday, May 31st, from 6 to 8 pm. Admission is free.
The work on display will be a strong representation of our students from Fall of 2007 to the Spring of 2008. Showcased will be wheel-thrown functional ware, hand-built sculpture and figures created by children and adults. A variety of finishing techniques are employed; high and low-fire glazes, wood, salt and raku firing. All work has been created on-site in Mt Washington through the classes offered for beginners and advanced student-artists at all stages of life.
