Parkway Community Murals
Parkway community members and artist Herb Massie
2004–2005
In 2004-2005 Mr. Massie was the lead artist on a public art project entitled “Parkway Community Mural.” This mural can be found on permanent display at the intersection of Liberty Heights & Tioga Parkway and a second mural at Gwynns Fall & Tioga Parkway in Baltimore. This mural was designed and worked on with the west Baltimore community to create two two-sided 5’ x 6’ mosaic tile sign marking the entrance to the Parkway Community. Many of the community members who participated in created these murals are still participating in community arts classes today.
