Do you go blank when you look at the surface of your pot? Wondering what glaze to use and how to apply it... this 6-week class will help you to overcome your fears and remove some of the mystique of glazing. This course will emphasize the glaze mixing and testing process; experimentation with new glaze techniques is the objective! This course will begin to build skills and confidence including how to mix, apply and test glazes while providing experience loading and firing an electric kiln. Students are asked to bring green-ware for wet surface work and bisque-ware, either porcelain or stoneware, to test cone 6 combinations.
