Mosaic Madness

In this 2-day workshop participants will learn the basics of mosaic design and installation. The first class will focus on designing a layout and thin-setting your mosaic pieces to concrete backer board (or onto a small form or furniture piece that you may bring). On the second day, we will mix colored grouts and finish the mosaics. Be prepared to bring your own mosaic pieces (we will have some tile on hand for purchase), which may include the following: broken china, tile, marble, colored glass, smooth pebbles, etc. Also bring an old towel, plastic putty knife, a hammer and rubber gloves. Feel welcome to bring a bag lunch to class.
