In this 12-week course for intermediate level potters will refine their throwing techniques while creating a variety of matching sets, gathering tricks-of-the-trade. The emphasis of this class will be on exploring the subtle relationships created between a range of utilitarian forms and through expanding the relationships between multiples when creating tableware settings. Settings may include multiple plates, goblets, cups and saucers, bowls and large scale service pieces. This course is for students who have completed at least two of the following throwing courses: Intro, Basic, Intermediate or Advanced Wheel. The instructor will challenge participants to push current comfort levels through individual or group critiques while providing appropriate demonstrations for all students in the class.
