Lormina Salter Residency Fellowship Artist, Haejung Lee, will present a slide talk on her exhibition Route that is currently on display through July 31st. The galleries will be opened after hours for this special event so that you may take a tour and view the amazing floor pieces, wall works, and large scale sculptural installation.
Haejung is the 2009-2010 recipient of the Lormina Salter Residency Fellowship Award. Haejung competed against 45 talented applicants from all over the world for this prestigious award. Arriving last September, the current exhibition includes an entire year of the work Hae-Jung completed in the Clayworks’ studio.
The content of Route explores her cultural identity and her personal, cultural and artistic travel from Korea through Europe, New York, Louisiana, and now Baltimore.
There will be some food and wine, of course –but the purpose of the event is for you to have a unique cultural and artistic experience, and to spend a little time with this young artist before she leaves Baltimore.
