Baltimore Clayworks presents Fahrenheit 1940 (Less than Fahrenheit 1940), an exhibition that explores the limitless opportunities of low fire ceramics, i.e. those works fired at temperatures less than 1940 degrees fahrenheit. Fahrenheit 1940 runs from August 4 through September 1, 2007, with an opening on Saturday, August 4 from 6–8pm. Admission is free.

Fahrenheit 1940 artists include Tom Bartel (KY), Ray Chen (ME), Aurore Chabot (AZ), Lynn Duryea (NC), Timothy Foss (WA), Nancy Frazier (CA), Bryan Hiveley (FL), Thomas Kerrigan (AZ), Marc Leuthold (NY), Louis Marak (CA), Randy O'Brien (AZ), Marilyn Richeda (NY), Ted Vogel (OR), Lars Westby (MD), Jim Whalen (NC), and Lana Wilson (CA).

The work of Baltimore Clayworks Associate Artists, Patrick Caughey and Jewell Gross Brenneman, will be featured in the Associates' Gallery during Fahrenheit 1940.
