Artist Teacher Partnership
Baltimore Clayworks, Baltimore Partners for Enhanced Learning, and Mt. Royal Elementary/Middle School present a collaborative show that was crafted out of Baltimore Partners for Enhanced Learning's fall 2007 "Artist Teacher Partnership". In this program, teaching pairs comprised of Baltimore City Public School teachers and teaching artists from many of Baltimore's art and cultural organizations co-plan and co-teach ten-day arts integrated units. The students learn both core subject material (in math, science, language arts, and/or social studies) and fine arts concepts and skills (in dance, music, theatre and/or visual arts) in the same class. This engages students and deepens learning.
