Come with us as we learn about the cultural traditions and art work of the native peoples of America. We will explore the patterns used in pre-historic Mimbres pottery designs and Acoma clay pots, and incorporate them into our own inspired ceramic pinch and coil pots. We will look at examples of the Plains Indians’ bead work, and string our own beads into colorful bracelets and necklaces. Campers will look at Northwest Indian ceremonial masks and totem poles and then form, sculpt and carve their very own versions of these works out of clay!
