Portrait Busts

Date/Time: (Ages 6-10) Monday – Friday, 2 – 5:00pm, June 14-18
Fee: $165 Members; $185 Non-Members
- This one-week afternoon class will focus on the historical subject of portrait busts. We will look at examples of busts, from Roman marbles of emperors, to American presidential representations. Students will learn how to use multiple hand-building techniques, such as slab and coil construction, to form unique sculptures out of clay. We will create self-portraits along with sculptures of influential people in their lives.
