Have you ever caught yourself looking at plants and thinking “wow, what a really nice form” or “what a fantastic texture”? Have you ever wondered how to translate the organic object into ceramic sculpture? In this 8-week class participants will use natural elements as inspiration for surface texture and form to create sculptural objects or components which may be assembled to create abstract or functional vessels. Students may choose to utilize both hand building and throwing techniques. This course is open to both hand-building and wheel students, previous clay experience is required.
