Majolica and Luster Glazes
In this 12-week course participants will enjoy learning about the wide variety of decorating techniques available with majolica glazes. Participants will explore traditional, domestic pottery and tile through a series of demonstrations designed to provide an overview of both contemporary and historical majolica work. Basic color theory and brush work will also be emphasized. This course is intended for students who have completed at least one ceramics course – hand-builders and potters welcome. A complete supply list will be mailed with class confirmations or you may wish to phone our main number for more information. Course fee includes 25 lbs. of clay and bisque firing.
