Advanced Majolica Technique

This 12-week class will emphasize drawing skills as they relate to the majolica technique, and will review color theory as well. Students will be expected to complete 3 projects that are not copy work. Influence from any artist is acceptable. Discussion and demonstration will include color theory, painting style and drawing composition. Projects may include hand-made tiles, hand-built vessels or potter’s wheel. This class requires some clay experience with a foundation in either majolica technique or drawing.
