Have you fallen in love with porcelain? It can be intoxicating, sensuous, ecstatic, and the most engaging clay you have ever touched. It can also be the most frustrating. Learn how to handle it gently but firmly to your desires. Try your hand in this 11-week course at stretching the limits from round pots to oval, square, rectangular and asymmetrical forms. Learn to alter the basic round bowl by cutting, darting, squeezing and stretching the clay in addition to thrown and assembled parts off of the wheel. Particulars related to surface treatments, glaze application and firing will be addressed in detail in this class. This course is for students who have completed one or more of the following throwing courses: Intro, Basic, Intermediate or Advanced Wheel.
