This class will cover many topics useful for the studio potter and clay artist. We will be making pieces as part of the class, but the main focus will be on studio practices and getting your work from the wheel to the table. While glaze development and application will be a major part of the class other topics will include: Loading and firing kilns, glaze mixing, additions to clay bodies, raku firing and pit(sawdust) firing. There will also be wheel throwing and hand building projects and demonstrations throughout the class. This class is for the aspiring clay artist or teacher who would like to learn to make it all happen on their own.
